The same studio, plus YouTube-link import. Paste a link and the audio downloads on your own internet connection, then lands in the studio ready to crop, mix and render.

Verify downloads with SHA256SUMS.txt. YouTube support uses the open-source yt-dlp, which the app fetches from its official GitHub release (checksum-verified) on first use and keeps updated.
Install
Windows
- Unzip the download (right-click → Extract All).
- Open the folder and double-click SongMixer.exe.
- If Windows SmartScreen appears, click “More info” → “Run anyway” (the app isn't code-signed yet).
macOS
- Double-click the zip, then drag SongMixer.app into Applications and open it.
- If macOS says Apple “could not verify” SongMixer (it isn't notarized yet): click Done, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click “Open Anyway”, then confirm with your password.
- Or in Terminal: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/SongMixer.app — then open it normally. Same fix if macOS calls the app “damaged”.
Linux
- chmod +x SongMixer-*.AppImage
- ./SongMixer-*.AppImage (some distros need the libfuse2 package).
How it works
- The app opens the SongMixer studio. Cropping and rendering work exactly as on the web.
- YouTube links are downloaded on your machine, then uploaded to the studio like any audio file. Our server never contacts YouTube.
- Videos up to 20 minutes / 60 MB of audio. Playlists aren't supported.
- Only download audio you have the rights to use, and follow YouTube's Terms of Service.
Or keep using the web studio — file uploads work everywhere.
